Responsible Gambling

There has been a sea-change in the approach taken by the UK Gambling Industry towards its social responsibilities and responsible gambling. This sea-change has happened with the support of The Gambling Business Group and its predecessor BISL.

The GBG and BISL were founders of the P3 organisation created for the Industry in order to pursue player protections and harm prevention measures. This organisation has now been reborn as the IGRG (Industry Group for Responsible Gambling) and the GBG continues with its full support where ever it can.

The GBG has also had a fundamental influence in the development of the UKs responsible gambling strategy for the three year period 2016 - 2018 working closely with the Responsible Gambling Strategy Board (RGSB).

The GBGs membership are all proactively looking for ways to improve the protection of 'at risk' and vulnerable customers and for opportunities to prevent/reduce harm that may be caused through participating in gambling.

Consequently, Responsible Gambling features on the agenda of all Gambling Business Group and Machine Sub-Group meetings and all members give their full support to the efforts and activities of both the Responsible Gambling Trust and the RGSB.

The GBG also has excellent working relationships with GamCare and with the Gordon Moody Association.
